Four things that decide how long your compressor lasts
None of these are exotic. They are just the parts of the job that get skipped when maintenance is treated as a cost rather than an investment.
Why original parts matter
A compressor arrives with parts built to its own specification — that is what delivers the efficiency you paid for. Generic spares undercut it. Original filters, separators and service kits keep uptime high and service intervals long, which is what actually lowers total cost of ownership.
Why use original oil separators
A generic separator is not built for the pressures inside your compressor, so it wears faster. Flow resistance causes pressure drops that land on your energy bill, poor separation carries oil into downstream equipment, and an ungrounded separator can build static — a real fire risk.
Every 1 bar of pressure drop across the separator adds roughly 7% to your energy consumption.
